Possibly one of the longest standing places in my “must visit” list, Peru’s capital is the starting point of Part 2 in our 2017 Travel Adventure. We arrived on Sunday 28 May, very much looking forward to catching up with the good friends we have here, the main reason for an extended up-front stay before starting the 20-day tour that will take us around the country.

Beijing: The End of Part 1

After our exciting four months of travel, we finally reached our last stop on this journey. We arrived from our last bullet train (305km/h!) in Beijing late on Saturday 6 May, staying at the well located and historic Dongfang Hotel. For those of us still hungry, Peter arranged a very tasty banquet-style dinner at a local restaurant, though I wouldn’t recommend chicken feet!
